1. Purpose of This Reference
Nevada Residents Directory is operated as a private reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections concerning people who live or have lived in Nevada. Government records are held elsewhere. The service is independent of every agency, court, library, and records custodian it describes.
2. Lawful Use Requirements
Use the service only in ways permitted by law. Neither the website nor information found through it may be used to:
- Follow, threaten, harass, intimidate, or injure another person
- Find a person whose location is protected by a court order or safety program
- Carry out fraud or misuse another person’s identity
- Make decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
- Copy, scrape, or republish the material in bulk
- Disrupt the service or try to defeat its security
3. No Consumer Reports
Nevada Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither the reference material nor results from a linked search service are consumer reports. Do not use them to assess eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.
4. External Services
Government portals and outside providers, including sponsored search services, set their own terms. We do not control their content, access, fees, or handling of information.
5. No Guarantee
The service is offered “as is” and when available, without any warranty. No promise is made that its information is accurate, complete, or up to date, or that an outside portal will remain available or return a correct result.
6. Liability Limits
As far as the law permits, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages tied to use of the service or a linked source, including an action taken after finding a record.
7. Responsibility for Claims
You agree to protect the service operators from claims or demands, including reasonable legal fees, that result from your misuse of the service or breach of these conditions.
8. Copyright and Reuse
Copyright protects the original writing, design, logo, and page layout. You may link to a page and quote a short passage with credit. Reposting complete pages or copying the material in a systematic way is not allowed.
9. Revisions
A later version may replace these terms when posted here. Use of the service after an update means you accept the revised version.
10. Restricting Access
Access may be limited or stopped, without advance notice, when a user breaks these terms or abuses the service.
11. Nevada Law
Nevada law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record requests to Nevada government entities are handled under the Nevada Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, alongside any specific confidentiality law that applies to the record.
12. Remaining Terms
If a court finds one part invalid or unenforceable, the other parts continue to apply.
