Information You Submit
Search terms entered into the name, phone, or address forms are sent to the outside provider that returns the results. Nevada Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. Messages sent to the contact address are used to answer the person who wrote.
Information Collected by the Server
The hosting service records routine technical log details, such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and visit times. These logs help diagnose faults and measure general page traffic. Cookies or related tools may be used for basic analytics and, when relevant, ad measurement.
How Collected Information Is Used
Technical information supports site operations, problem solving, traffic counts, and page improvements. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual profiles are not built from those logs.
When You Follow an Outside Link
Links may lead to Nevada county or state record portals, library collections, archives, or search providers. Once you visit another service, its privacy notice governs any information you enter there. Sponsored results are also delivered by a third party.
Who Processes Site Information
Hosting and support providers handle the server logs needed to run the service. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the technical data described above. Information is also disclosed when valid legal process requires it.
Safeguards and Retention
Connections use encryption, and logs are kept only for the purposes described in this policy. Since visitors do not have accounts here, the service does not store their passwords or account profiles.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This service is intended for adults, not children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor has sent information to us, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and removed.
Nevada Privacy Requests
Nevada’s consumer-privacy provisions in NRS Chapter 603A provide a verified opt-out route for certain covered operators and data brokers. The statute generally allows 60 days for a response, with an extension in the circumstances it describes. Those rights do not erase the underlying assessor, court, recorder, voter, or archive record. Because this service keeps little visitor information, a request can ask us to check the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page. Requests about an official Nevada public record must go to the government custodian that holds it.
